Join the Open Source Movement
Today Colleges and Universities are constantly cutting budgets for computing and software. On top of that, the major software manufacturers are increasing their prices and forcing all of us into leasing agreements that cost campuses millions of dollars every year. Thankfully, a number of academic communities are officially fed up with these draconian companies and a number of powerful, open source statistical software packages are freely available for our own personal research and for classroom usage.
The following websites are either for basic open source statistical packages, or lead you to information on the open source statistics movement.
